This movie has a cast so limited, it’s practically an exclusive club: the lead actor, actress, and their ‘son.’ Jesse Eisenberg shines as usual, delivering a performance with such effortless charm that he feels like that one friend who always steals the show at gatherings. I’ve always had a soft spot for his acting. It’s not like watching a performance — it’s like seeing a buddy from my friend group on screen. As for the actress? Total mystery to me. Anyway, here’s how they look —
Plot
The movie kicks off with Jesse and his girlfriend, excitedly house-hunting for their dream home to start their perfect life together. They stumble upon a real estate opportunity that looks promising, but something feels off right from the get-go. Trust your instincts, folks! Don’t be like these two.
As they venture further into this surreal suburban vibe houses, they find themselves in a maze of identical houses. Despite the weird vibes, they press on, check out the place, and are ready to make their decision. But on their way out, they can’t find the exit. Yep, you heard me right! They keep looping back to their supposedly new house at every turn. Weird, huh? Tune into this movie to see how their bizarre journey unfolds.
My wisdom regarding this movie
I started this movie purely for Jesse, one of my all-time favorites. The beginning was bizarre, to say the least. As the story progressed and I watched them get stuck in this house, I couldn’t help but think, “Isn’t it everyone’s dream to live in a world with just your significant other?” Well, this movie quickly changed my mind about that! No thank you, sir — I don’t want that anymore!
The plot takes some seriously weird turns, revealing how the mundane can mess with your mind in unexpected ways. It’s a fascinating psychological trip, and I highly recommend giving it a watch!
