Welcome back, I know you miss my mind-blowing and super awesome recommendations, so here is another one.

Actors which I know and I am assuming you know too

Alright, let’s be real — I have no idea who anyone in this cast is because, well, it’s a Spanish movie and my knowledge of Spanish actors is… nonexistent. But hey, I’ll keep this short and sweet and just show you what they look like, because that’s what really matters, right?

And now you know

Plot

Let me start by saying this is based on a true, heartbreaking story one where people faced the unimaginable and somehow emerged from the darkest depths of despair. Tragically, not everyone made it.

It begins with a group of young, talented rugby players, full of life and excitement, preparing for their next big game in Chile. Their families, just as eager, join them on this journey. It’s winter, snow blankets everything, and the Andes Mountains, the largest mountain range in the world, stand before them majestic, awe-inspiring, a vision of pure beauty. But amidst this breathtaking scene, one of the team members, Nando , feels something unsettling deep inside. A creeping sense of dread takes hold of him. His teammates dismiss it as anxiety from flying at such heights, trying to comfort him. Yet, before anyone can truly process it, in the blink of an eye, tragedy strikes the plane crashes into the vast, unforgiving Andes.

This is the story of the survivors. Those who lived through this crash endured the bone-chilling cold, the relentless snowstorms, and the gnawing hunger that threatened to consume them. They were lost in a frozen wilderness so vast it seemed impossible that anyone would find them. But somehow, they clung to hope, to life. Watch as their incredible will to survive unfolds, as they are rescued against all odds. Because in this endless expanse of snow-covered mountains, finding them was like finding a needle in a haystack. My wisdom regarding this movie.

My wisdom regarding this movie

I love survivor stories because they give me a sense of strength, a little spark of willpower to push through my own struggles. I know, of course, that what I’m going through isn’t anywhere near the same — but still, I find myself looking up to them. I first heard this story on a podcast, and the way it was described gave me chills. As I listened, the host mentioned there was a Netflix movie about it. Well, I didn’t waste any time so I Bye girl-ed her and started watching the movie immediately.

Let me tell you, I was not prepared. I wasn’t ready to witness the depth of suffering these people went through. It was sad, brutal, and absolutely nerve-wracking. My heart aches for them, for the sheer willpower they showed in the face of such unimaginable horror. Their will to survive, their refusal to give up even in the worst possible moments, truly shook me.

I always thought that in survival mode, a person would become the most selfish version of themselves, clinging to whatever they could to stay alive. But this was different. They banded together, lifting each other up, giving each other hope when hope seemed like the most fragile, unreachable thing. They cheered each other on, not just for survival but for life. There are so many more heart-wrenching details I could share, but I think it’s something you have to see for yourself. This story is one that stays with you, long after the credits roll.

Conclusion

Just watch it~

Thank you for reading!
