Welcome back, I know you miss my mind-blowing and super awesome recommendations, so here is another one.

Actors which I know and I am assuming you know too

Alright, folks, brace yourselves you’re gonna owe me big for this one. Jason Segel fans, roll call! Our favorite tall goofball is front and center, serving up effortless brilliance. Oh, and guess who else is here? The Harrison Ford, gracing us with his legendary gravelly voice. And in the “eyebrows that could solve crimes” department, we have Brett Goldstein bringing the suspense. Absolute powerhouse of a cast so good, I might even learn the rest of their names. In the meantime, feast your eyes on this

And now you know

Plot

Alright, let’s dive right in ever seen a shrink spiral? You’d think these guys have life all figured out, right? Wrong. Dead wrong. Our poor guy Jason Segel gets hit with the most traumatic event of his life, he loses the love of his life. And to make it even worse? His teenage daughter loses her mom too.

This show takes us on a heart-wrenching journey through their grief, and let me tell you, it’s messy. His wife’s tragic death? A car accident, caused by a drunk driver. And that’s where things get super complicated. We’ve got grief, anger, denial, and a whole emotional buffet no one asked for. Jason copes in the absolute worst way possible (textbook definition of not taking your own advice), while his daughter who desperately needs him handles things her own way.

Thankfully, they’ve got an incredible group of friends trying to glue the pieces back together. And trust me, you’ll want to be along for this ride.

My wisdom regarding this series

I stumbled upon this series thanks to Reddit (as one does), and after some good ol’ Googling, I discovered that Jason Segel himself wrote it. From this day forward, I am legally obligated to be his biggest fan. The man DELIVERED, this script is an absolute gem. Hilarious? Check. Witty? Check. A rare combo these days, and he nailed it.

Now, grief is one of the hardest emotions to portray, but this cast? Chef’s kiss. They made it so raw, so emotional, yet somehow so funny at times. I devoured the first season, but when it came to season two, I hesitated. You know that fear What if they ruin it? What if it doesn’t live up? Yeah, well, turns out I love being wrong. Season two didn’t just meet my expectations it drop-kicked them.

Oh, and speaking of jaw-dropping moments, there’s a part where they encounter the drunk driver. Let me ask you what would you do in that situation? Think about it. And one last thing there’s a surprise cameo at the end that had me screaming. No spoilers, but trust me, you’re gonna lose it.

Conclusion

Just watch it~

Thank you for Reading!
