Saltburn(2023)
Welcome back, I know you miss my mind-blowing and super awesome recommendations, so here is another one.
Actors which I know and I am assuming you know too
Here we go another movie with a cast so good, it’s like someone handpicked them from an acting hall of fame. Seriously, every single one of them is a shape-shifter, diving into roles like they’ve got a point to prove.
We’ve got our Gone Girl queen Rosamund Pike, serving her signature ‘don’t-mess-with-me-or-I’ll-destroy-you-with-my-wit’ vibes. Then there’s Jacob Elordi, the handsome tortured soul who looks like he’s straight out of a Greek tragedy. And Barry Keoghan? The man speaks volumes with just his eyes — like he’s got a secret and you’re not cool enough to know it. Take a peek — you won’t be disappointed!
Plot
If you’ve heard whispers about the bath scene, oh yes this is that movie. With great movies come even greater, more complicated storylines, and this one’s got layers like a rich, juicy drama onion.
The plot? It revolves around Barry, a scholarship student with a desperate need to impress that popular kid. Enter Jacob — rich. Stupidly rich. Like, ‘my towels probably cost more than your rent’ rich. But here’s the kicker: he’s also annoyingly kind and universally adored. Jacob invites Barry to his posh family estate, Saltburn, for the summer, and what happens next is pure chaos.
Barry’s obsession kicks into overdrive not just with Saltburn but with Jacob’s entire life. The wealth, the glamour, the everything. He wants it all, and boy, does obsession make him go off the deep end. Watch as Barry spirals into full-on crazy town, doing whatever it takes to have Jacob’s life. It’s wild, intense, and yes, that bath scene is just the beginning.
My wisdom regarding this movie
Writing about this movie was so hard, y’all. There are just too many bizarre things I need to scream about but I won’t because I’m a good blogger and won’t spoil the chaos for you.
All I’m going to say is: I need to see your faces when you watch the infamous scenes this movie blew up for. Trust me, you’re not ready. I wasn’t ready. No one is ever ready for the madness of what Barry does, all in the name of Saltburn. The obsession to fit in, to stay relevant, and to chase that dream life? Let’s just say it turns the concept of right and wrong into a joke.
Every scene feels like a spoiler, and I can’t rob you of the pure shock value. Just watch it, and prepare to question your life choices along the way!
Conclusion
Just watch it~
