Dear Zachary: A Letter to a Son About His Father
Welcome back, I know you miss my mind-blowing and super awesome recommendations, so here is another one.
⚠️Warning: Murder⚠️
Tell me in short what is it about?
The documentary is a heartfelt tribute to Andrew, the dearest friend of filmmaker Kurt Kuenne. Originally, it was meant to be an introduction for Andrew’s son, Zachary, to show him how wonderful his father was. The film begins with Andrew’s closest family and friends sharing their cherished memories of him.
But there’s a reason I said “was” — Andrew was murdered. Yes, you heard that right. He was killed by his then-girlfriend, the mother of his son, Zachary. This revelation made me incredibly furious too.
Kurt documents the journey to seek justice, following Andrew’s parents as they fight to put his girlfriend behind bars. Just when you think you know where the story is going, it takes an incredibly dark and unexpected turn, one that will leave you shaken.
Watch this documentary to see the full, heartbreaking story unfold.
Is it okay to watch what do you think?
If you want to hear my opinion, I must say that this documentary is not for the faint-hearted. I cried so much watching it. The failure of the justice system was unbelievable. As Andrew’s family members shared their memories, I couldn’t help but think, “How could such a wonderful person be killed by someone so evil?”
The girlfriend who killed him is one of the most wicked people I’ve ever seen. It’s shocking how low a person can go. Seriously, if you need help or are struggling with mental health, don’t hesitate to seek support. It’s crucial for your safety and the safety of others.
As for the killer, the justice system completely failed in my eyes. Do give it a watch, it’s a tribute to Andrew.
